Down to Earth - Handbuilding Pottery at HXH
This summer we are gathering under The Veranda at Hartlot Happening for events that are down to earth: with clay, botanicals, coffee, seasonal food, and community. Summer workshops highlight the ways creative collaboration nurtures beauty, connection, and hope.
We have three opportunities for you to join us for a handbuilding pottery workshop followed by a seasonal lunch.
SUNDAY 14 JUNE | 10 am - 1 pm Botanical Imprint Pottery
SUNDAY 19 JULY | 10 am - 1 pm
Vases & Vessels
SUNDAY 16 AUGUST | 10 am - 1 pm
Salt Wells & Herb Stripping Bowls
Each workshop is thoughtfully designed and structured, open and accessible for participants of all levels of experience. If you're new to working with clay, this will be a warm, supportive introduction in a convivial atmosphere. All materials are provided.
We invite you to be inspired in your making by the variety of botanicals on hand for summer workshops, grown and gathered by Becky Muir at Schoolhouse Farms. Branches, blooms, stems, leaves, and seeds are natural tools for creating imprints, surface texture and decoration, and design in clay.
The morning concludes with a refreshing, seasonal lunch, made by your workshop hosts. A perfect way to end the experience, relaxing and enjoying the work made, good company, and an thoughtfully prepared meal.
After the workshop, your pieces are dried, bisque fired, glazed and fired again the kilns at HXH. Pottery is available for pick up approximately 3 to 4 weeks after the workshop. Shipping is available; postage fees apply.
Reserve your spot at the link below — spots fill quickly and we'd love to have you.
